How to Make Your Own Trail Mix

Need a quick snack at work, but too busy to stop working? Trail mix is a great snack because you can make it ahead of time and it doesn’t require refrigeration. It’s also great for traveling and late-night cravings.

This recipe is for one single serving. Make a larger batch by multiplying the recipe by the number of servings you’d like to get.

Make your own trail mix: 1/4 cup nut, 1/4 cup fruit, 2-3 spoonfuls of sweet or salty like pretzels

  • Buy ingredients in bulk and mix batches at home
  • For a variety of flavors make 2 or 3 different types of trail mix & store them in designated air-tight containers
  • Have fun here by using different colors of containers to distinguish and store flavors
  • Come up with a special name for your original trail mix recipes & label your containers
